“The pros and cons of Social Media”

There are many bad things of being involved with a social media but there are also many good things. For me I love having a Facebook because I talk to musicians all over the world. I recently helped a friend out with some lyrics and he’s in a one-man Black Metal band in Poland. Then I often give reviews and feedback on the material of other bands and they return the favor by giving my band feedback. SoundCloud is a big help for me, seeing how I can directly upload my bands songs onto this website then other people can listen to it. Also the social media is a great way to meet new people. If it wasn’t for my Facebook I probably wouldn’t have met the other Metal Heads who live in my area. But yes I also get lots of invitations to shows on Facebook. One of the bad things is that you have to be careful what you post and upload because some employers often search up your:

·   Twitter

·   Facebook

·   MySpace

·   Tumbler

·    YouTube

They may not hire you if you post up or are tagged in something that may make you seem or look very unprofessional. Often there are even some violence and even law suits that may develop through a social media. Cyber Bullying, and I know I remember hearing that one of the cartels from Mexico was tracking kids down from that are bad mouthing or claiming to be from another cartel.

You may say something to somebody on Facebook or Twitter and they might find it offensive then you now have a legal problem. Then also the government does monitor your social media, The NSA I believe. Your account get flagged just for using the wrong set of words.
