Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency calls to provide immediate, efficient help to those in need of medical attention due to a serious injury or illness. EMT’S await for the call from the dispatcher then race to the address given to them in ambulance taking the fastest route there, EMT’S must pay attention to traffic and weather conditions because they may affect the route and that actually means it’s a life or death situation actually.
Salary: $23,000 - $45,500
Educational Requirements:
You are required to have a high school diploma, in some cases a GED is acceptable. Drivers education, health, and science courses are strongly recommended and are required before enrolling into the EMT programs. 100-120 hours in the classroom and 10 hours in a hospital are required. EMT’s must pass state licensing or certification tests and have to continue to participate in education programs.  Many EMT’s earn associate degrees in their field.

I wouldn't want to be a EMT because pretty much if i we're to make a mistake I'd feel like they're blood was on my hands. I really don't think that's something anybody wants to feel.
