Periodontal

Duties and Responsibilities: Periodontal technicians make crowns, implants and bridges and other dental appliances and prosthetics for dentists who treat periodontitis, a severe form of gum disease. Periodontal technicians often are employed by dental offices or by independent labs to treat periodontitis. Some periodontal technicians become managers of their own office or labs.

Educational Requirements: Must be a high school graduate, associate’s degree in dental laboratory skills, two year program at the ADA
